So I just have to say I love who ever it was that was battling back and forth on our
Boy or Girl Poll. It was quite funny to see how close the voting was, it was basically 50/50 the whole time! Well on Friday March 1st, 2009 at 1:45pm, we meet up with Luke's parents (who drove 2 hours from Richmond, after a 7 hour Red-eye flight from Arizona.) They were coming for Luke's Graduation so we figured it was the perfect time to schedule the Ultrasound appointment! They were extremely excited even though they were dog tired from traveling. But they made sure they made it.
We are so grateful to have such wonderful parents and in-laws.
They clearly are the best!!!! And I will fight with whoever disputes it. :)
So we get to Augusta Medical Center and at first they were being stinkers about having more than two people in the room....like one more was gonna make a difference to them. But after a little begging, the nurse "snuck them in." LOL Doctor didn't even care. She was so nice. Although we had to wait about 20 min (which felt like a century). The Doctor checked out all of the body organs and parts before she got to the sex. And the whole time all of us were looking desperately to see if we could determine the sex ourselves....
(I just kept thinking...I don't know babe I am not seeing a little thingy....)
Are you dying to find out the Sex of our baby yet???
Fine I will tell you!
After the whole family (including Luke and I, all of my co-workers, and half of our friends were 95% sure it was a BOY........
It came out to be our little GIRL....our Peach......our Princess......our Daddy's girl.....My Parents first Grand Daughter....and my Grandma's first Great-Granddaughter.....3rd grand baby on my side......the 11th grand baby on Luke's side...... and our little everything!
We were all so shocked and soooo excited we just gasped, laughed, teared up! I wouldn't let myself cry...I had to soak in the whole moment!!!!
To baby Girl: We are so excited to meet you and finally hold you in our arms. From the moment we got married, to the moment you were in our future thoughts, the moment of conception, the moment we found out we were pregnant, and to the moment we found out you were a little girl, our little girl, we have wanted you, dreamed about you,
and have loved you.
