Baby Names and Other Recent Events!

A couple of days after graduation Luke, Mable, and I moved to Connecticut for the summer! Why you ask? Well we decided it was a good time to try and make better money than living it up for the 3rd summer in a row in Buena Vista. Luke is doing summer sales with APX. Since it is all commission we will see how it goes and report at the end of the summer. lol I think Luke is going to do a great job and has already learned so much in the past 2 weeks! I am currently helping out as a "PA" personal assistant for the Head Manger of our team. I am liking it because it is a nice change from the Admissions life and no stress on the baby. My mind, however, is trying to get past the pregnancy ditziness. I feel like my head is in the clouds and I just cant pull it down to earth! lol Thus, I have to put in all of my brain power to do simple tasks. lol It's also great because we are able to spend the summer meeting new friends and especially getting to hang out with Luke's cousins! Nikisha and Malia! Niki is Devin's wife who is the Head Manager and Malia's husband Chris also does the summer sales with Luke. We have had so much fun with them. Its going to be a great summer! I will post pics soon!
I hit 24 weeks last Saturday!!!! (I will do another post with a picture of the belly) Pregnancy is going well. I think I have had my first doce of sciatic nerve. OUCH! I have started my baby quilt. It has nothing to do with the colors of the babes room but it is going to be adorable! I will start on the room next. I have decided on the colors for the room: Dark Purple, Apple Green, Deep Red, Hot Pink, Dark Yellow, really whatever color goes with those. I figure it gives me a lot to work with and I can just do a lot of solid colored things with a splash of all the colors....(I don't know if that even made sense:) I also am going with the Vintage tootsie pop owl theme. If you go to Etsy.com and type in owl baby, that's my inspiration. I love all of the different kinds of owls they had on there. Such cute stuff! What do you think?
Now for the baby names. Here are some that are heavily on my mind. I post them hesitantly only because as soon as I say a name out loud someone I know uses it or, it oddly becomes popular at the moment. I want a classic beautiful name that is not over used and not super popular at the moment. I don't want her to be one out of 5 in her class with the same name.
First Names:
Kenadi
Mckinlee or Kenley
Farah
Claire
Lilliana (Lilly)
Peyton
Lydia
Vada
Collette
Molly
Avery
Middle Names to work with:
Aldeane (Lukes late grandma's name) or Deenie (her nickname)
Claire (My late grandpa's name)
Pearl ( My great grandma's middle name)

I need Help...

I know I have like 4 months left but I am struggling to come up with a solid name for Miss Baby Girl. I have a list of like 20 names and I just cant decide. Has anyone else had such a major dilemma with picking a name? Any suggestions that you wouldn't mind sharing? I like the old fashioned/vintage names. Or even new and cutsie is fine too. But just not over used or "off the wall" weird.

Please help and put a name down in my comments! LOL

Is it Pink or Blue? The verdict is........

So I just have to say I love who ever it was that was battling back and forth on our
Boy
or Girl Poll. It was quite funny to see how close the voting was, it was basically 50/50 the whole time! Well on Friday March 1st, 2009 at 1:45pm, we meet up with Luke's parents (who drove 2 hours from Richmond, after a 7 hour Red-eye flight from Arizona.) They were coming for Luke's Graduation so we figured it was the perfect time to schedule the Ultrasound appointment! They were extremely excited even though they were dog tired from traveling. But they made sure they made it.
We are so grateful to have such wonderful parents and in-laws.
They clearly are the best!!!! And I will fight with whoever disputes it. :)

So we get to Augusta Medical Center and at first they were being stinkers about having more than two people in the room....like one more was gonna make a difference to them. But after a little begging, the nurse "snuck them in." LOL Doctor didn't even care. She was so nice. Although we had to wait about 20 min (which felt like a century). The Doctor checked out all of the body organs and parts before she got to the sex. And the whole time all of us were looking desperately to see if we could determine the sex ourselves....
(I just kept thinking...I don't know babe I am not seeing a little thingy....)

Are you dying to find out the Sex of our baby yet???
Fine I will tell you!

After the whole family (including Luke and I, all of my co-workers, and half of our friends were 95% sure it was a BOY........

It came out to be our little GIRL....our Peach......our Princess......our Daddy's girl.....My Parents first Grand Daughter....and my Grandma's first Great-Granddaughter.....3rd grand baby on my side......the 11th grand baby on Luke's side...... and our little everything!

We were all so shocked and soooo excited we just gasped, laughed, teared up! I wouldn't let myself cry...I had to soak in the whole moment!!!!

To baby Girl: We are so excited to meet you and finally hold you in our arms. From the moment we got married, to the moment you were in our future thoughts, the moment of conception, the moment we found out we were pregnant, and to the moment we found out you were a little girl, our little girl, we have wanted you, dreamed about you,
and have loved you.

The drive to meet Luke's Parents for the Ultrasound!
Waiting with great eagerness for the Doctor to come in!

The Happy couple after we found out what we were having.

It took 20.5 weeks but its starting to show a little!

Can you see it?

Graduating From SVU

I just wanted to say a couple of words about graduating from a Small, Private, LDS, Liberal Arts University on the East Coast. We have been here for 2 1/2 years now and have grown a great love for this University and small town living. We have grown to the love Virginians and East Coasters. We are so grateful for this diamond in the rough school. There are roughly around 700 students that attend. So when I say small...its small. Everyone knows everyone and you literally walk away with 700 friends. This is a place that you can come live in a healthy LDS environment and still be a unique individual. A place where you can be involved and be a leader. Not many people know about the benefits of Liberal Arts University. In the way I describe it, Liberal Arts creates a broad foundation and an education that prepares you to become a problem solver for the future. Liberal Arts students statistically do better in post graduate education. They are not afraid of class interaction, papers, reading, and killer finals. They are taught how to interview, how to walk into any corporate position and be a leader, how to solve problems that have not even arised yet. They are taught by Professors that are over qualified, underpaid, and care a great deal about their students. Where else can you graduate from and know your President, Vice Presidents, Provost, Deans, and etc. We know them all! Who else has a school President that can sincerely say, "I love you," to his students. Not many.

I also wanted to shout out to our Bestest friends that are graduating! We will miss your faces like crazy!!!!! Sara, Pete, and Haylee Hansen. Holly and Ben Burningham. Andy and Emily Pace. Matt, Amber, Ana Hadfield. Marc, Nicky, and Zara Hadfield. JJ, Christanie, and Braiden.

Commencement!
