Where is my baby bump?

Officially 16 weeks!
Do you see anything? I think I just look bloated. I am only standing like that to make it look like a pregnancy picture and maybe...just maybe...see a bump. And this was after a big dinner! (I was craving Sushi and my ever so loving husband took me to get some last night.) I can definitely feel my weight shifting to my belly but really no definite bump yet.
A couple of you have been asking how I feel and just to let you know I feel great! I still get occasionally nauseous with certain smells but not to the point of throwing up. I feel very grateful and am very lucky because my first trimester could have been worse. I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes this way too! Thank you for answering my questions before I loved your answers and trust me I will be asking more! :)

  3. Yeah, you can't really see anything yet! Your first pregnancy you normally won't for just a while longer. Then it's like you show at 8 weeks with your next! You look great. Keep posting pictures so we can see you growing!

  6. Looks like a few more weeks before that baby bump appears. As for the sushi, sounds like you're not eating fish that are terribly questionable, so you're probably fine. Shrimp and Crab are known to be pretty low on pollutants. However, there is always the food preparation that can contaminate anything you eat - so if your sushi is prepared where a fish that had parasites was - you run the risk of getting the parasite and potential harm/miscarraige. (At least that is what I've read during my pregnancy.) A great resource?..."What's Safe to Eat During Pregnancy" at:

  7. Yeah, fish is highly controversial... I CRAVED albacore tuna sandwiches from Paradise Bakery when I was prego with #1. The mercury content in certain types of fish is the main concern. Perhaps shrimp and imitation crab (or 'crap' :) ) don't have a high level of mercury, and that's probably why your mid-wife okay'd it (?).

I have to admit that I don't even see the SLIGHTEST baby bump, bloating, or even a trace of any extra weight ANYWHERE?! hehe... don't worry, pretty soon you won't be able to see your feet.

PS If you EVER crave dirt (love you Trisha!) :) or anything that is inedible, you need to tell your Dr., that is a sign of another potential condition.

  9. It's funny I see no bump, I'm sure you feel it and maybe I'm blind But you look great.
PS I was freaking out over somethings that are happening over the summer and I was concerned about being able to pay some of our bills long story! I freak out about certain things every so often even thought i shouldnt

  10. I felt the same way when I was prego with my 1st. I just wanted everyone to recognize that I was actually pregnant. I couldn't wait to buy maternity clothes. It's sort of annoying at first because your "regular" clothes don't fit right, and maternity clothes look funny. Just wait...soon enough you will be filling out and feeling the back pain and swollen feet. Two words... Sciatic Nerve. But Hubby can be a great help giving back and foot massages. You are so beautiful...can't wait for more updates!

  12. Niki - I can't tell yet! Is that good or bad? You look so cute! Can you feel anything moving yet?

  13. I know everyone has already told you this, but I don't think you should be eating sushi while you're prego! I think every once in a while and as long as it's cooked it's ok. By the way, you look beautiful! You have the GLOW!!! :) And don't worry, your bump will come soon enough. Before you know it, you'll be wanting it to go away! :)

  14. I seriously didnt get the official baby bump until like 20 weeks. It just popped out of no where. So you are fine. Besides, you will be carrying a huge belly by the end and you will be wishing there wasnt one. The first thing I thought about after Presley came out was "im not pregnant anymore". It is the BEST!

  18. You are a lucky one that will have the cutest bump ever since you are so tall! It's so weird how you wish for the bump and then come the third trimester you are amazed that the bump is more like a boulder :)..at least for me it was.
