I am about 15 weeks........
Is it too early to start putting on Stretch Mark Cream?
Is it to early to feel the baby moving?
Is it bad to wear high heels or sleep on my stomach?
I want to go home when i am about 71/2 months pregnant....should I risk flying? Is it that bad?
I am one week away from being 4 months along....when did everyone else start getting a belly? Cause I just look a little bloated.
Can I get pedicures at this stage or at any in my pregnancy?
Is cravings honestly a real thing or is it in peoples heads?
I will probably post more questions but this is all I can think of for now!!!
Hey! You can find answers to all of these questions and more at babycenter.com and babyzone.com (my 2 favorite sites!) They give you a weekly update of how the baby is doing, and how big they are, and what's expected with your body that particular week. Its been a lifesaver for me! And I'm already putting on cocoa butter and vitamin E Jergen's makes one together... Good luck lady!
ReplyDeleteOk....
ReplyDeleteIt is never to early to use stretch mark cream. You can start feeling the baby move around 14 to 18 weeks. Because you are such a tiny woman I would imagine you probably could feel the baby move by now. As you get further along it might be harder to wear heels. But if you aren't having any balance problems now then you are fine. I had horrible problems with being a huge klutz while pregnant. I dropped everything and tripped over my feet constantly. Also another thing to attribute to being tiny and in good shape you might not start showing for a good while. I flew at 7 and a half months from TX to AZ and it was ok. I got really dehydrated and my body hurt but it was fine. My only advice about flying is to drink a lot of water and walk up and down the aisle of the plane. It's hard on your body but manageable. Yes you can get pedicures all they way up until you deliver the baby as long as you let them know you are pregnant and they don't do the massage thing that induces contractions. If you aren't eating healthy and missing different vitamins or minerals from your diet your body will respond with cravings to get those vitamins and minerals... Plus if you are nauseous all the time then you only want to eat things that keep you from wanting to puke. So I think it's a combination of in your head and real cravings.
Lol.
There is my opinion. I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy. Miss you!
Here's my run down:
ReplyDelete*Strechies: never a bad thing to start the cream, however my Dr. told me that if it's in your gene's you'll get them no matter what. But helping your skin be more supple may help out.
*Baby moving: can't remember... your 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' book (or those websites) should tell you.
* High heels and stomach sleeping:
Heels are fine but like Tiana said, you'll be more clumsy prego, so be careful. You can 'legally' do sit ups until your 3 months prego so I would stomach sleep until then or until you feel like you're laying on a watermelon. ;)
* Flying: Talk to your Dr., usually you need permission to fly in the 3 trimester, and as long as you're not 'High Risk' you'll most likely be fine.
* Pedicures: At your own risk. The chemicals in the air are risky, the potential for contracting an infection increases (improper cleaning by staff), and certain spots in your foot being massaged can actually cause contractions.
* Baby Belly: With #1 I started showing around 5 1/2 months and with #2 it was closer to 4 mo. everyone is different and how tight your abs are! ;)
* Cravings: HECK YES!! They are real. :) But that is my opinion.
I so excited for you!! :)
It is never too early to start using stetch mark cream. I started when I found out I was pregnant. I felt butterflies in my stomach at about 15 weeks. So it could be right around the corner. I wore heels until My feet swelled up and I couldnt fit in them anymore. I got pedicures all the time. Just have them rub gently. Baby belly... I was about 5 months when an actual belly appear. It came out of no where. Cravings... I havent had that many cravings. But when I do I cant think about anything else.
ReplyDeleteI don't know much cause I've never been prego.. But 10 of my sister n laws have had a grand total of almost 40 kids and we ALWAYS get pedicures and manicures right before their due date. You have to look amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. I think pregnant women look amzing in high heels! Do it-just don't fall♥
ReplyDeleteYay! That's so exciting! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteOkay, well, I'm NO expert, but here's what I think: It's NEVER too early to start putting on stretch mark cream! Especially if you got them when you were a teen. You probably won't feel the baby moving, like kicking but you should start to feel flutters in your belly, like little butterflies swirling around. The first time it's hard to tell what it is. I don't think it's bad to wear high heels, if you're not swelling in your feet. Wear them while you can, you won't want to soon! I think it's fine to sleep on your stomach. I did up until I couldn't (Like 7 months)! I don't know about the whole flying thing, I know that your doc won't wnat you out of state about 4 weeks before you're due, but ask just in case. The first time I didn't get a noticeable belly until I was almost almost 6 months. It is noticeable to you, but not everyone else until like 5 1/2 or 6 months. The second time I didn't get a belly until I was 6 months, then I POPPED! LOL! I think it's fine to get pedi's..... I did. Just don't let them rub the inside of your ankle in your 3rd trimester...that can stimulate contractions. Actually, that's how I FINALLY went into labor with Logan, I got a pedicure, and that started the contractions. BUT I was already a day Overdue. Just be smart about it! I think cravings is real. It was for me. I craved a lot of dairy, and steak or chicken. Sometimes I would crave dirt, so I wold go to Home Depot and just sniff the air there..... Wierd. They say that you crave the things that your body needs. In the 1st trimester with Jaxon I craved grapefruit like crazy! SO who knows! I'm soooo excited for you! I love oyu and miss you!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, one thing to remember, you most likely will not HURT the baby with what ever you do. I was so afraid of hurting the baby the first time through, that I was afraid to even wear tight pants, because i didn't want to hurt the baby. Then I realized that it would take SO much to actually hurt the baby from the outside. There's so much protection. The baby will take everything from you it needs, and as long as you take care of yourself, you'll be fine!
ReplyDeleteOh I am soooo excited for you guys!!!!! So are you due in September??? I am also 15 weeks this week ;)))) 3 more weeks until we know....I can't wait ;))
ReplyDeleteStretch mark cream....NEVER too early ;)
You could def feel the baby move this week!!
High heels...how could you live without them...lol.....I hear that you can wear them until you become too clumsy!
I am also going home to Ohio at 7 mths...my Dr said as long as everything is going well with the pregnancy then I will be fine ;) So you may want to check with your Dr
Oh my belly came very early...at like 10 weeks!! It kinda freaked me out!! LOL I wanna see some pics of yours;)
Most girls say pedicures are fine throughout the entire pregnancy??
I crave pickles and steak ...all the time!!! So cravings are very real!!! ;)
So have fun and enjoy every minute of being pregnant!!! We are truly blessed!!
