Where is my baby bump?

Officially 16 weeks!
Do you see anything? I think I just look bloated. I am only standing like that to make it look like a pregnancy picture and maybe...just maybe...see a bump. And this was after a big dinner! (I was craving Sushi and my ever so loving husband took me to get some last night.) I can definitely feel my weight shifting to my belly but really no definite bump yet.
A couple of you have been asking how I feel and just to let you know I feel great! I still get occasionally nauseous with certain smells but not to the point of throwing up. I feel very grateful and am very lucky because my first trimester could have been worse. I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes this way too! Thank you for answering my questions before I loved your answers and trust me I will be asking more! :)

Spring Heat!

Mable is no longer a puppy anymore. :(

I am so sad. She has grown up so fast! A couple of weeks ago we noticed Mable was acting kind of funny, smelling, shedding, and some other features that were swollen. Sure enough she went into Heat. They didn't have any doggy diapers at Wal-mart so I bought little girl undies. I cut out a hole for her tale and put in an old pad. This is our first girl dog so we are learning about all of this. But I hear it takes 21 days? Anyways I thought you might get a kick out of this picture of her in them....and just think of me showing Luke how to put a pad in! haha

Is it? Can it be?

Spring!!!!!!

I have been waiting very impatiently for spring to arrive. And I think it finally has! I think I finally know what that primary song means when it says Spring has brought me such a nice surprise.....Popcorn popping right before my eyes! I am truly going to miss this when we move back home.

I think this is a willow tree? Its located in the middle of our school. Right by the fish pond.

Greeeeen plants are arriving!
Just think....Popcorn popping on an Apricot Tree.

I love all the wild flowers! I cant wait to see the purple trees!

Walkway up to the University. I love the daffodils!

Can it get prettier than this?

16 week check up!

We just had our third check up with Chelsea Cox one of our mid-wifes......YES Midwife! No I am not crazy and want to have my baby at my house. It will be in the hospital with an epidural!! LOL (Sorry to offend those who go that route...just not for me.) Our mid-wifes work as a team with other doctors, so if there were a problem they weren't able to handle, the docs are right there on call. I just loved the fact of the personable touch the Mid-Wifes have versus seeing your doctor for the 3 minutes of delivery. Since the nurses do most of the work anyway I figured these sweet ladies would be perfect and would be there throughout the entire labor. Plus they are wonderful for natural remedies and wont rush the labor to the point of C-section. ( I am not opposed to it, but if I can do it vaginally I would like to...sorry for the gross language.)

Well, during our check up Chelsea Cox had the little contraption on me to listen to the babies heart beat. I think we have a bouncer because she would have to move it every 2 seconds to find the heart beat again! haha It went like this...heartbeat....scratching sound....heart beat.....scratching sound...... She explained that the scratching sound was the baby moving. LOL Luke now for sure thinks its a boy! I asked her on our way out if she had any guess and she said girl. But who knows, some days I for sure think its a boy and other days a girl. We find out May first what we are having!! I will for sure let you all know!

For expert Preggers or if you just know.....

I am about 15 weeks........

Is it too early to start putting on Stretch Mark Cream?

Is it to early to feel the baby moving?

Is it bad to wear high heels or sleep on my stomach?

I want to go home when i am about 71/2 months pregnant....should I risk flying? Is it that bad?

I am one week away from being 4 months along....when did everyone else start getting a belly? Cause I just look a little bloated.

Can I get pedicures at this stage or at any in my pregnancy?

Is cravings honestly a real thing or is it in peoples heads?

I will probably post more questions but this is all I can think of for now!!!

A bun in the oven!!!!

Well surprise everyone!!!! We have a little munch-kin on the way!!! About 2 weeks after coming home from AZ from our Christmas break, I realized I had miss an important date. I had also been really tired and thought it was just the "2 hour jet lag," and okay i was a little moody too. So we decided to wait just a couple of days more to take a test, just in case it was an off month. But sure enough the end of the week came by and we couldn't stand to wait any longer. We took a pregnancy test. I was way to nervous to look. So Luke went in the bathroom and came out giggling and with that beautiful smile on his face, shouting we did it!! Your totally pregnant babe!!

We decided to wait a little while before we started telling everyone. But as soon as I started feeling nauseous, irritable, and extremely tired...people around here started to notice. After people started guessing I would just blurt out Yes I am pregnant! lol So not having told our families yet, and having to beat around the bush many times on the phone we were just too excited to tell them. We put together a double picture frame with a poem on the top titled "Your Little Grandbaby."

Your Little Grandbaby

Here's a little peek at me, it shows I'm on my way.
Little grandbabies like me don't happen every day.
I'm busy growing strong, and one day soon we'll meet.
I can't wait to hug and kiss, the moment will be sweet.
For now dream of me, and all the things we'll do.
Explore, sing, laugh and play, to name a very few.
Save a special place for me, to grow inside your heart.
We will be forever friends, a love that never parts.
I hope you'll share your joy, with friends both new and old.
A little grandbaby to love, will soon be yours to hold.

And a picture of the 1st Ultrasound On the bottom half of the frame. (pics to come!)

I am about 12 weeks along and am due around September 12th 2009! We couldn't be more excited and more terrified all at the same time. :) But definitely more excited than anything. This is just perfect timing for the next phase in our lives. Luke will be done with school and done playing competitive sports by the due date. I will hopefully be able to quit working to stay at home and Luke will be coaching this next season as the Quarterback coach here. After that we plan to go back home to AZ. But most of all we will have our 4 year anniversary right before the baby is due. I couldn't recommend anything more to newlyweds. We have loved every minute of this time that we have shared together as "just the two of us," and will never forget it. We are so glad to have established our marriage and our soon to be little family here in Virginia.

The Lord definitely has a plan for the Luke Taylor family. We are so blessed to have the Gospel in our lives. It magnifies everything important in our life to know that our Heavenly Father is right by our side guiding us along the way. We are very grateful to be able to be blessed to create a life and bring a little spirit to this world.
