Getting ready for Mountain Days in Buena Vista!!!

After my good friend Joyelle and her Mama Debbie showed me how to make these cute purses, I decided to make one for my niece, (sorry no pic) for her baptism. I loved it so much i decided to make more and try to sell them at our down town BV festival. I decided to go with the "Country Theme," for my Local Virginians. They are great for scripture cases....purses...or activity bags.

They are not perfect....(Not like Debbie's). So if no one buys them then be expecting them as Christmas Presents!!! =) But seriously you probably will.

SVU Vs. Ferrum

A sad day last week at Ferrum College. The boys lost a game they should have won. And the starting Quarter back (my favorite player) went out in the 3rd quarter with an ankle sprain. Poor Guy. He sure is bouncing back strong this week so we will see what happens this weekend against Washington and Lee University. On the flip side, Trace let me borrow his 200mm Lens. For those of you who don't know....it was a really good lens for sports photography. This kind of photography I am not an expert on but, I think I got some pretty good shots! They are a little out of order on here but, take a look!

SVU vs. Lincoln

Here is our football update for those of you who didn't hear. The Knights won last week against Lincoln. It was a great win and they all played really well (especially #12)!!! They did so well they were able to put in the 2nd and 3rd stringers. I am so proud of the team and their first win for this season! When they passed out the football programs they had a huge picture of Luke on the cover ( Pre-season NAIA All-Independent, SVU career passing Leader)...he is so handsome!

Glade Knight! Yes the Mr. Knight....Founder of SVU!!! He was so excited for Luke and the rest of the knights. He is such a great man and such a supporter of the football team. He is the one making sure they get their practice fields this semester!

#12 the QB!

Every Friday before a game they have a football fireside. After the fireside last week we went to Nick's Italian Pizza....very good! Us, Holly&Ben, Shay&Diana.

For the football wives club this year we put together T-shirts! They turned out so good and we had sooooo many compliments on them! Glade Knight and President Smith said they want a copy!!!

That's right folks! Football is back again!!!!!!
Last week the knights as an NAIA school went up against the "big boys" a D1 school, Morehead State. Even though SVU lost they put up a good fight. Tonight they are playing against Lincoln so I will give you an update in a few days.
