Gosta Have Owl Pride...Or Gest a Out!!!

Okay so Luke has been taking a summer school class that has required him to write a lot of papers. Pretty much a 3 page paper every 2 days. Well this past week he had to write his senior paper of 12 pages....so he has been staying up super super late.
Well at around 7:30 this morning I woke up to Luke talking in his sleep. (This is where the Owl comes in to play) Luke has this blanket he uses that his mom made for him of all of his Agua Fria High School shirts. So Luke opens his eyes and starts talking really loud. He just kept pointing intensely to his blanket saying Owl Pride! Owl Pride! I guess he was trying to explain to me about his blanket and football and how I have to have Owl Pride....Who knows!! haha He then just rolled over and fell back asleep. hahaha I didn't know what to do! lol

This really isn't that abnormal for Luke to talk in his sleep, during football season
he is usually is calling plays...I did catch him once speaking Spanish..hhmmmm

Oh and has this happened to anyone else?

You come home from a long day at work to find your hubby sitting comfortably in front of the TV. playing video games. He says" Hey babe, how was work? Oh and there is a weird smell in the kitchen.....I think it's the grapefruit in the fridge, it’s been smelling since I got home today."
Me-"Oh, okay did you go ahead and toss the grapefruit?"Luke-"ohhhhh, no I didn't."
I just personally thought that was funny. Why didn't he just toss it?? haha I guess a wife may never know.
My husband is silly....he makes me laugh!!!!

Don't you just Love marriage and all the fun stuff that comes with it!!?? hahaha I would like to hear everyone else's funny experiences with their significant others!

The Championship rings are in!

I think I was more excited than Luke to get their ring in! Take a long look at this picture, probably the only time he will wear it! I told him I am going to wear it on a chain around my neck...like they used to back in the day. haha

BUENA VISTA, Va. (May 22, 2008) – The 2008 Preseason NAIA All-Independent Football Team was announced on Wednesday and it included 10 athletes from Southern Virginia, including six who garnered first-team mention.

With 10 honorees the Knights had the second most among the 10 independent schools in the NAIA. Southern Oregon led the way with 12. Southern Virginia's six first-team selections tied Southern Oregon and Azusa Pacific for first.

Quarterback Luke Taylor (Litchfield Park, Ariz./Mesa CC) was one of four Knights named to the first-team on offense. The record setting quarterback passed for 3,292 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2007, both school records.

Two of the men who provided Taylor’s protection last season, linemen Ben Burningham (Richmond, Utah/Skyview HS) and Tyler Card (West Valley City, Utah/Cottonwood HS), were named to the first team. Receiver Marc Hadfield from Lehi, Utah, who caught 15 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns, also earned first-team honors.

Living at the Taylor House.....

Many of you have asked how it has been to live with 4 other guys along with my husband. Let me just start off by saying it has been very very interesting.....at times i felt like a mom, a wife, and a younger sister to all of them. Weird I know. I told them their future wives are going to thank me by the time I am done with them. They will be cleaning, cooking, and fix it machines!! Now with all the good/bad times there have been some some pretty funny ones.......

Exhibit A:The Stove Top crisis, Instead of cleaning up after a spill they continue to cook one thing after another, so that the spill is now burned onto the stove top.
-Thanks mom for teaching me the baking soda and water trick to clean it!
Exhibit B: The case of the mysterious Jock Strap: I kid you not, this "thing" made its way around the back porch, the floor of the laundry room, and the living room...and no one would fess up right until they left...i wasn't touching it!
Exhibit C:The Patio Room Frenzy, Poor SVU athletes don't have lockers at the school and so they have been forced to keep their sweaty shoulder pads, helmets,"Jock Straps," and what have you, in their trunks. Now the horrifying smell seeps from the trunk into the rest of the car.....So being the nice woman that I am aloud them to make a locker room out of our patio room that has screens for effective ventilation. This is the cleanest that it has been!!

Now as funny and smelly that things have been there has also been:
Septic tank backage.....
The boys using my wedding, porcelain, serving dishes as cereal bowls...
Seeing a few of them walking around in their whitey tighty's....
Who ate my food?
No you cannot use my $500.00 Kitchen Aid!
Luke and I hiding out in our room while they had dates over....
Also:
A sweet Halloween Party
Helping and willing hands to clean
Very funny and genuine personalities
New Friends
Sweet Music Jams
And the late night runs to dairy queen

Well we made it through this year alive and are about to do another. I think we got most of the kinks out and it optimistically should be a fantastic Year!
We truly are Thankful for this opportunity to fix up an adorable house and have the guys help us pay our mortgage. We have Learned so much.
They are so fun and are truly marriage material.....Ladies!!!!
(Thank you summer time, we feel like we just got married again!)
